Thirty years inside a college
Donna built her career at Suffolk County Community College. Much of it ran through operations and construction: project management and facilities management. Her question was how a campus should be built to support learning, with logistics and technology in the plan from day one.
She also reviews colleges for accreditation, including work with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
That mix is the point of her practice. She knows how a college runs, and she knows how one gets built. She says she speaks the language of education, and her buyers, the provosts, deans and student success leaders, hear their own words when she talks.
The challenge: from a campus career to her own firm
Donna had a retirement date, thirty years of relationships, and no consulting brand. Three problems stood in the way.
- Wide scope. Facilities, accreditation, curriculum and student guidance are all real strengths. A buyer needs one clear offer. We organized the practice into five pillars: College and Career Guidance, Strategic Planning, Accreditation Support, Curriculum Design, and Faculty Development.
- Two audiences. Families and students want guidance. College leaders want a partner. Each needed its own path, its own tone and its own channel.
- Visibility. The firm needed a name people could find, a line they would remember, and a LinkedIn presence that matched the move from employee to Founder.
What we built together
Plexify and Ken worked in Claude and Lovable, one piece at a time, with Donna approving each step.
| Piece | What it does | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | The tagline "Stronger institutions, stronger student success." Student success is a named function on every campus, so buyers hear their own vocabulary. It names the client first and the payoff second. | Locked |
| Website | innovativeeducation.net, built in Lovable: the five practice pillars, a 48-hour audit offer, and a clear path for each audience | Live |
| College to Career workbook | A student and family workbook, rebuilt as a free sample chapter, a Family Edition ($35) and an Institutional Edition ($75) with facilitator notes | Delivered |
| Channel plan | LinkedIn carries the business. Facebook and Instagram carry families, students and community. A 90-day roadmap sets the rhythm. | Launching October 2026 |
| Founder announcement | Retired from the College; Founder of Innovative Education | Planned |
| Business-development operations | One pipeline for every relationship, warmth scores that flag contacts going quiet, meeting prep, and outreach drafted in her own voice | In use |
| Meeting checklist | After each meeting, one shared checklist with an owner on every item | In use |
How we work: AI drafts, Donna approves
Nothing goes out under Donna's name until she approves that specific item. AI writes the first draft in her voice. She reads it, edits it and presses send. Every claim traces to a source, and anything we cannot source is marked for her to confirm.
Her accounts stay hers. Her domain, payments and social profiles sit in her name from day one.
We meet, we write the checklist, and the next week starts from it.
Where it stands today
It is early, and we are not claiming results yet. What we have is a measured starting line and a day-90 review.
| Measure | Starting line (last 90 days) |
|---|---|
| Website visits | 436 |
| Website pageviews | 936 |
| Visits from LinkedIn | 2 |
| Visits from Facebook | 1 |

What this means for relationship-driven firms
Donna's situation is common in architecture, engineering, construction and professional services. The expertise is deep. The network is real. What is missing is a system that tells you who to call this week and why.
That is what Plexify is for. One pipeline holds every relationship and pursuit. Warmth scores show which contacts are going quiet. AI drafts the follow-up in your voice, and you decide what goes out.
